Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality radiologic procedures for diagnostic interpretation across modalities (at least two modalities required)
• Practice radiation safety and adhere to ALARA standards, including pregnancy screening for female patients
• Conduct equipment quality control and operate imaging equipment according to manufacturer recommendations
• Verify exam orders, obtain informed consent when required, and document relevant medical history
• Provide patient education, ensure two forms of patient identification, and deliver compassionate, safe patient care
• Troubleshoot equipment issues, complete downtime reports, and notify management or service engineers as needed
• Assist with clerical duties, registration, patient transport, and timely submission of paperwork to Health Information Management
• Train, assist, and cross-train imaging staff members; participate in departmental performance improvement activities
• Notify Radiologist of STAT/emergent cases and provide necessary ordering physician contact information
• Maintain supply inventory and ensure procedural protocols and regulatory compliance are followed

Qualifications

• ARRT registration in at least two modalities (examples: Radiology (R), CT, MR, Mammography, Nuclear Medicine, Sonography) or eligible to obtain required registries within 1 year of hire
• ARDMS registrations (RDMS, RVT, RDCS, RMSKS) or NMTCB where applicable are accepted credentials
• Current BLS certification or must obtain within 90 days of hire
• Prior experience as a practicing technologist in one or more imaging modalities preferred (2 years preferred)
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen and any required employee health requirements
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
• Must be at least 16 years old (21 for driving positions)

Education

• ARRT registry(s) in two modalities OR ability to obtain required registries within 1 year of hire
• BLS certification (current or obtained within 90 days)

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient care and effective communication with patients and care teams
• Radiation safety practices and ALARA principles
• Equipment operation, preventive QC and troubleshooting
• PACS and RIS/HIS systems proficiency and comfort with electronic records
• Clerical and registration tasks, phone triage and accurate message recording
• Cross-training aptitude across CT, MRI, DEXA, Mammography, Nuclear Medicine and Sonography
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office for basic documentation and reporting
• Ability to follow imaging department protocols and work independently with good judgment
