Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting, and grooming
• Provide compassionate personal care while maintaining dignity and respect for each resident
• Take and record vital signs, report changes to the nursing team promptly
• Support safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control policies
• Document care accurately and communicate effectively with nurses and interdisciplinary staff
• Build rapport with residents and families to enhance quality of life and care experience

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification in Pennsylvania (must be in good standing)
• Current CPR/BCLS certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start)
• Background check and health screening clearance as required by facility
• Compassionate bedside manner and patient-focused attitude
• Ability to follow care plans, take direction, and work as part of a team
• Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred but not required

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Completion of an approved CNA program and active CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of activities of daily living and basic resident care
• Familiarity with infection control and safety protocols
• Basic vitals measurement and documentation skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with residents and staff
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time during shifts
• Comfortable with light physical work including lifting and assisting mobility
