Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding
• Assist with safe transfers and mobility support to reduce fall risk and promote independence
• Monitor and record vital signs and report changes in condition to the nursing team promptly
• Document resident care accurately and timely in the chart to ensure continuity and quality
• Support residents emotionally by building trust, listening actively, and creating a reassuring presence
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver personalized, high-quality care

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Valid state-required immunizations and ability to pass background and drug screening
• Comfortable with 12+ hour night shifts and ability to perform physical aspects of resident care
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Proven ability in safe resident handling and transfer techniques
• Skilled at taking and recording vital signs and observing changes in condition
• Knowledge of infection control practices and universal precautions
• Basic familiarity with electronic charting or willingness to learn
• Excellent interpersonal skills to connect with residents and families
