Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and mobility assistance
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report any changes to the nursing team
• Assist with feeding, toileting, and other activities of daily living while preserving patient dignity
• Follow care plans and physician orders to support positive patient outcomes
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and adhere to infection control practices
• Communicate effectively with nurses, families, and the care team to ensure coordinated care

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of Pennsylvania
• CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Prior experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar patient-care setting preferred
• Strong communication skills and a patient-centered attitude
• Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an approved CNA program

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in basic nursing tasks: bathing, grooming, feeding, and mobility assistance
• Monitoring and documenting vital signs and patient observations
• Knowledge of infection control and safe patient handling techniques
• Comfortable with basic charting and following care plans
• Teamwork and effective communication with interdisciplinary staff
• Compassionate bedside manner and the ability to engage patients respectfully
