Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing needs using evidence-based methods
• Develop individualized treatment plans that promote meaningful progress and functional outcomes
• Implement therapy using best-practice techniques and adapt interventions to each patient
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care and support patient goals
• Document evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries clearly and promptly in the EHR
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on strategies to support communication and swallowing safety
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute clinical expertise to the team

Qualifications

• Active or eligible California Speech-Language Pathologist license (required or must obtain prior to start)
• ASHA CCC-SLP preferred
• Experience evaluating and treating communication and swallowing disorders
• Comfortable working with diverse patient populations across the lifespan
• Ability to pass background check and meet facility immunization/health requirements
• Professional, collaborative attitude and strong interpersonal skills

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology (preferred) or related graduate degree

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in assessment and treatment of speech, language, cognition, and dysphagia
• Skilled at creating person-centered, evidence-based treatment plans
• Strong documentation skills and familiarity with electronic health records
• Excellent communication and patient/family education abilities
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
• Time management skills to balance caseload and administrative responsibilities
