Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care with skill and attention to detail
- Administer medications and treatments safely following facility protocols
- Monitor patients, report changes, and collaborate with the care team to optimize outcomes
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in patient charts
- Support patients and families with clear communication and empathy
- Participate in orientation and ongoing training to keep skills current
Qualifications
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) credential in good standing
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain
- Comfortable working 12.5-hour shifts and attending required orientation
- Strong communication skills and a team-focused attitude
- Ability to perform clinical duties required for the unit
Education
- Completion of an accredited practical nursing program (LPN diploma or certificate)
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient assessment and basic clinical skills
- Medication administration and documentation best practices
- Familiarity with infection control procedures and patient safety standards
- Effective bedside communication and patient education
- Teamwork and collaboration with nurses, providers, and support staff
- Proficiency or willingness to learn electronic health record (EHR) systems
