Roles & Responsibilities

• Verify and review medication orders to ensure safe, accurate therapy for inpatients
• Perform vancomycin, aminoglycoside and anticoagulant dosing and monitoring
• Provide pain consults and clinical input to multidisciplinary teams
• Supervise and mentor pharmacy technicians, including Pyxis and first-dose checks
• Compound and verify sterile IV preparations using Dose Edge and compounding best practices
• Maintain accurate medication verification, emergency med box readiness and Pyxis checks

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited Pharmacy School (required)
• Licensed to practice Pharmacy in Missouri (MO) (required)
• Minimum demonstrated clinical experience (posting lists 1 year experience preferred)
• ACLS and BLS preferred
• NICU experience is a plus
• Familiarity with Dose Edge, Pyxis, Pak Edge and Meditech EMR preferred

Education

• Degree from an accredited Pharmacy School

Knowledge & Skills

• Inpatient pharmacy workflows and hospital medication safety practices
• Medication verification processes and sterile compounding standards
• Clinical dosing for vancomycin, aminoglycosides and anticoagulants
• Experience supervising technicians and managing Pyxis/first-dose workflows
• Comfort using Dose Edge, Pak Edge and Meditech electronic medical record
