Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care and assistance with activities of daily living
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, bathing, dressing, and toileting
- Monitor and accurately record vital signs, intake and output, and patient status
- Communicate patient changes promptly to the nursing team and document information clearly
- Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for patients
- Support care plans by participating in team huddles and following assigned tasks
- Offer emotional support and respectful interaction to patients and families
Qualifications
- Active CNA certification in Pennsylvania (required)
- Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Previous experience in long-term care, rehab, or acute care is a plus
- Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass background checks
- Strong communication skills, empathy, and ability to work as part of a team
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- CNA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on patient care and assistance with ADLs
- Basic clinical skills: vitals, positioning, safe transfers
- Infection control and proper PPE use
- Accurate documentation and charting
- Time management, teamwork, and strong interpersonal skills
