Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert, compassionate care to adults in the Cardiovascular ICU using advanced hemodynamic monitoring
• Manage ventilators and perform ventilator weaning in partnership with respiratory therapy
• Monitor and manage invasive lines including arterial and central lines and Swan-Ganz catheters
• Perform chest tube management and post-operative CABG recovery care
• Operate and troubleshoot unit equipment such as CRRT, Impella, GE monitors and EV1000
• Document patient care accurately in Meditech and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team
• Educate patients and families about recovery plans and critical care interventions

Qualifications

• Active RN license (required)
• Minimum 2 years of critical care experience (adult ICU, CVICU, Neuro ICU or similar) as noted in the hiring profile
• Demonstrated ventilator experience and proficiency with arterial/central line and chest tube management
• Comfortable with advanced hemodynamic monitoring (Swan-Ganz) and familiarity with CRRT and Impella (preferred)
• Team player who thrives in collaborative, high-acuity environments

Education

• BSN preferred (but not strictly required); active RN license required

Knowledge & Skills

• Hemodynamic monitoring and Swan-Ganz catheter management
• Ventilator management and respiratory support
• Arterial line and central line care
• Chest tube management and post-op CABG care
• Experience with CRRT (NextStage) and Impella devices (preferred)
• Proficiency with Meditech EMR and unit monitoring systems (GE monitors, EV1000)
