Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: 12.5-hour shifts; specific start/end times and scheduled days to be provided by the facility (orientation included)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $49 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate, evidence-based behavioral health nursing care to patients
Assess, monitor, and document patients’ mental health status and progress
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement care plans
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
Use therapeutic communication and de-escalation techniques to support patient safety
Participate in orientation, trainings, and unit-based meetings to maintain high-quality care

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
Experience or interest in behavioral health nursing (preferred)
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain
Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills

Education

Graduate of an accredited nursing program (RN required)

Knowledge & Skills

Behavioral health assessment and care planning
Crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques
Medication administration and monitoring
Therapeutic communication with patients and families
Electronic health record documentation
Collaborative multidisciplinary team practice
