Roles & Responsibilities

• Scrub and assist in open heart and vascular procedures with precision and confidence
• Provide first assist support in the OR to help surgeons deliver excellent patient outcomes
• Maintain strict sterile technique and keep the operating field safe and organized
• Document procedures and patient information accurately in Meditech
• Collaborate with RN, techs and OR staff to coordinate case flow and patient care
• Be available for on-call coverage on weekdays and weekends as scheduling requires
• Adapt to floating assignments to the Main OR when heart/vascular cases are not scheduled

Qualifications

• CST/ORT with demonstrated First Assist experience (Specialty: CST/ORT - First Assist)
• Must be able to scrub open heart cases (explicit requirement)
• Experience with cardiovascular/vascular procedures; endovascular scrubbing is a plus
• Minimum experience: 2 years (as listed in the job details)
• Comfortable using Meditech for documentation
• Professional, polite demeanor with strong patient experience focus

Knowledge & Skills

• Operating Room (OR) scrubbing and sterile technique
• First assist responsibilities during surgical procedures
• Cardiovascular and vascular procedure workflows
• Endovascular scrubbing (preferred, not required)
• Familiarity with standard OR equipment and instrumentation
• Electronic documentation in Meditech
• Ability to float between specialty and main OR suites
