Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: AM shift, 4-hour shift (exact start/end times to be confirmed); orientation required

Candidate Pay Rate: $29 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Greet patients warmly and prepare them for exams in an ambulatory setting
Take vital signs, obtain focused histories, and document findings accurately
Assist clinicians with procedures, supplies, and patient education
Collect specimens and perform point-of-care testing per protocol
Maintain a clean, organized exam room and ensure proper instrument handling
Coordinate with front desk and clinical team to optimize patient flow
Support accurate electronic charting and timely clinical documentation

Qualifications

Current Medical Assistant certification or relevant training preferred
BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain prior to start
Comfortable working in an ambulatory clinic environment
Strong communication skills and patient-centered approach
Ability to pass required background checks and onboarding processes
Previous clinical experience is a plus, but enthusiastic newcomers are welcome

Education

High school diploma or equivalent required
Medical Assistant diploma or certificate preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient with vital signs, specimen collection, and basic clinical procedures
Familiarity with ambulatory clinic workflows and infection control
Basic computer skills for electronic health record documentation
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting
Attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
Ability to follow protocols and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
