Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU
Continuously assess and monitor hemodynamic status, ventilator settings and organ function
Administer medications, titrate infusions and manage complex care plans safely
Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists and interdisciplinary team members
Document patient status and interventions thoroughly in the medical record
Participate in rapid response and code situations with calm, competent action
Mentor and support colleagues to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) credential; Hawaii RN licensure or ability to obtain required
ICU experience (critical care skills and comfort with high-acuity patients)
Current BLS and ACLS certifications (or willingness to obtain prior to start)
Strong clinical assessment, prioritization and critical thinking skills
Ability to work 12.5-hour shifts and function well in fast-paced ICU environment

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Advanced knowledge of critical care principles and ICU protocols
Experience with ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate documentation
Skilled in IV infusions, titration of vasoactive medications and post-op critical care
Excellent communication and teamwork in high-stress situations
