Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (day and night rotations); exact start/end times vary by schedule

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $47 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality critical care to adult ICU patients
Monitor and assess patients continuously, interpreting vital signs and advanced monitors
Administer medications and titrate IV drips following unit protocols
Respond quickly and confidently to clinical emergencies and code situations
Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes
Maintain accurate, timely documentation and handoffs to ensure continuity of care
Educate patients and families with empathy and clear communication

Qualifications

Current, valid RN license (Louisiana license or compact RN eligible preferred)
ICU clinical experience (prior critical care experience highly desirable)
Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred or obtainable
Comfort working 12-hour shifts in a fast-paced critical care environment
Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in critical care patient assessment and monitoring
Experience with ventilator management and advanced airway support
Skilled in IV medication administration and infusion pump management
Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work effectively under pressure
Team-oriented mindset with strong interpersonal skills
