Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents with dignity and respect
- Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Take and record vital signs accurately and promptly
- Communicate changes in resident condition to nursing staff clearly
- Help create a warm, safe environment that promotes resident independence
- Collaborate with the care team to support individualized care plans
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification or state-approved equivalent
- Active and valid CNA license for Pennsylvania or ability to obtain one
- Comfortable with hands-on resident care and lifting assistance
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Background check and any facility-required screenings completed
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completion of an approved CNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic patient care and infection control practices
- Ability to take and document vital signs accurately
- Familiarity with charting and basic care documentation
- Good observational skills to notice and report resident changes
- Time management skills to prioritize resident needs
- Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
