Candidate Pay Rate: $44 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality respiratory care to patients, including assessment and treatment planning
Administer therapies and respiratory interventions safely and effectively
Monitor patient status, interpret clinical data, and adjust care as needed
Operate and troubleshoot respiratory equipment and ventilators
Collaborate with nurses, physicians and multidisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
Document care accurately and timely in the medical record
Participate in orientation and training to maintain clinical excellence

Qualifications

Current Respiratory Therapist credential (RRT or CRT) required or preferred
Active state respiratory therapy license (Missouri) or ability to obtain
Basic Life Support (BLS) required; advanced certifications (ACLS, PALS) a plus
Clinical experience in acute care settings preferred
Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach
Ability to pass required background checks and credentialing

Education

Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy or equivalent accredited program
Completion of approved respiratory therapy training and credentialing

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency with ventilator management and respiratory modalities
Skilled in arterial blood gas (ABG) sampling and interpretation
Familiarity with infection control practices and patient safety
Comfortable documenting in electronic medical record systems
Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work well under pressure
Team-player mindset with strong clinical judgment
