Roles & Responsibilities

Provide rapid, compassionate emergency nursing care to diverse patients
Perform triage, assessments, and prioritization in a fast-paced ED
Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
Collaborate with physicians, techs, and multidisciplinary teams for coordinated care
Monitor patient status and communicate changes clearly to the care team
Document patient care thoroughly and follow facility protocols
Support department flow by assisting with admissions, discharges, and transfers
Mentor and support colleagues to maintain a strong, resilient team environment

Qualifications

Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Hawaii license required or eligible)
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
Advanced certifications such as ACLS or PALS preferred or supported
Previous emergency department experience preferred
Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills
Ability to work calmly under pressure and prioritize multiple patients

Education

Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

Emergency nursing best practices and triage principles
IV therapy, medication administration, and wound care
Electronic medical record (EMR) documentation proficiency
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to perform rapid assessments and intervene appropriately
Familiarity with common ED equipment and monitoring devices
