Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered bedside nursing on the medical-surgical unit
• Perform accurate assessments, monitor patient status, and escalate concerns promptly
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document care in the electronic chart
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans
• Support smooth patient transitions by coordinating discharge teaching and follow-up
• Champion infection control, safety standards, and quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Active LPN/LVN license (state licensure required; compact privileges if applicable)
• Minimum 2+ years of clinical nursing experience; medical-surgical experience strongly preferred
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize, triage, and manage a full patient assignment
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-first mindset

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing (LPN/LVN) program or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid clinical knowledge of medical-surgical nursing practice
• Proficient in medication administration and safe documentation practices
• Skilled in patient assessment, wound care basics, and post-op care
• Comfortable with electronic health record (EHR) documentation
• Time management, adaptability, and patient advocacy skills
