Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate, evidence-based nursing care on the Med/Surg unit
Assess patients, develop and implement care plans, and evaluate outcomes
Administer medications and treatments safely and document accurately
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate excellent patient care
Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments and discharge plans
Maintain a safe environment by following infection control and safety protocols
Precept and support new staff during orientation to build a confident team

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) credential — ability to practice in New Hampshire or applicable compact licensure
Med/Surg experience (prior Med/Surg unit experience preferred)
BLS certification (and ACLS/other certifications as required by facility)
Ability to work 12.5-hour shifts and participate in orientation
Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and a team-first attitude

Education

Diploma, Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

Solid Med/Surg clinical assessment and patient monitoring skills
Medication administration and IV/infusion competency
Clear, kind communication with patients, families, and the care team
Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced inpatient setting
Electronic health record documentation experience desirable
