Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, safe med/surg and pediatric nursing care to patients
Perform thorough assessments and monitor patient condition closely
Administer medications and treatments according to facility policy
Collaborate with physicians, therapists and the care team to create meaningful care plans
Document patient care clearly and accurately in the medical record
Participate fully in orientation and ongoing training to maintain high standards

Qualifications

Current RN license in California (or eligibility for California licensure)
BLS required; PALS preferred given pediatric population
Experience or comfort working in med/surg and pediatric settings
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively on a team
Ability to pass background check and required screenings

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Skilled in patient assessment and clinical monitoring
Familiarity with pediatric growth, development and family-centered care
Proficiency in medication administration and basic IV care
Competence in wound care, post-operative and acute care principles
Clear and timely electronic charting and documentation practices
Ability to prioritize tasks in a busy clinical environment
