Location: Honolulu, HI

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Rotating 12.5-hour shifts (specific start/end times and assigned days to be scheduled by facility)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $27 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate bedside care to acute-care patients, supporting dignity and comfort
Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting)
Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes to the nursing team
Support safe patient transfers and mobility with appropriate techniques
Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the patient chart
Collaborate closely with nurses and multidisciplinary team members to promote positive outcomes
Uphold infection control practices and facility policies at all times

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
Experience or comfort working in an acute care setting preferred
Ability to work 12.5-hour shifts, including rotating schedules
Strong communication skills and a patient-centered attitude
Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
Current CNA certification (required)

Knowledge & Skills

Understanding of acute care routines and patient needs
Basic clinical skills: vital signs, patient hygiene, safe transfers
Familiarity with infection prevention and standard precautions
Attention to detail in documentation and handoff communication
Teamwork, reliability, and the ability to remain calm under pressure
