Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to emergency department patients
• Perform rapid assessments and prioritize care based on acuity
• Initiate and manage emergency interventions according to protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the care team to develop patient-centered plans
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the medical record
• Maintain a safe environment by following infection control and safety procedures
• Mentor and support colleagues when appropriate to promote a positive team environment

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license valid for practice in New Hampshire (or compact RN licensure as applicable)
• Previous Emergency Department experience preferred
• Current BLS required; ACLS and PALS highly desirable or obtainable upon hire
• Comfort working 12.5-hour ED shifts and responding to high-acuity situations
• Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to meet facility health requirements

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Completion of an accredited nursing program and active RN licensure

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in triage, rapid assessment, and emergency interventions
• Proficient with IV therapy, medication administration, and monitoring
• Clinical documentation experience in electronic medical records
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills under pressure
• Ability to prioritize care and make quick, safe decisions
• Knowledge of ED protocols, sepsis recognition, and trauma basics
