Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care in the ED, prioritizing patient safety and comfort
• Perform rapid assessments and initiate appropriate interventions for acute presentations
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document care in a timely manner
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients and families during stressful situations
• Maintain professional standards, follow infection control practices, and ensure accurate handoffs

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse licensure as required for practice (state requirements apply)
• Experience or interest in Emergency Department (ED/ER) nursing
• Ability to work 12.5-hour clinical shifts and participate in required orientation
• Current basic life support (BLS) and other certifications as required by facility (obtain per facility policy)
• Strong clinical assessment skills, critical thinking, and teamwork mindset

Knowledge & Skills

• Emergency nursing principles and rapid patient assessment
• Triage and prioritization in a fast-paced environment
• Medication administration and IV therapy competency
• Clear clinical documentation and effective communication
• Ability to work calmly under pressure and escalate concerns appropriately
• Team collaboration with physicians, techs, and support staff
