Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, supporting activities of daily living
- Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility and feeding with dignity
- Measure and record vital signs, reporting any changes to the nurse in charge
- Document care accurately and timely in resident charts and care plans
- Communicate clearly and kindly with residents, families, and the care team
- Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control practices
- Support team goals by pitching in during busy times and problem-solving proactively
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification in good standing (required)
- Ability to pass background checks and required health screenings
- BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Comfortable working as part of a collaborative care team
- Strong communication skills and a patient-centered attitude
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent (typical requirement for CNAs)
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in assisting with ADLs and safe patient transfers
- Able to accurately measure and report vital signs and observations
- Basic knowledge of infection control and safety protocols
- Good charting and documentation practices
- Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
- Reliable time management and the ability to follow care plans
