Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist with activities of daily living
- Take and record vital signs, observe patient condition, and report changes promptly
- Assist nursing staff with treatments, transfers, and safe patient mobility
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
- Document care accurately and communicate effectively with the care team
- Build trusting relationships with patients and families through respectful, person-centered care
Qualifications
- Valid CNA certification in Pennsylvania (required)
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Up-to-date immunizations and TB screening as per facility policy
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Strong communication skills, reliability, and a team-oriented mindset
- Previous long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred
Education
- High school diploma or GED required
- Current CNA certification in good standing
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient care basics and activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Accurate vital signs collection and basic clinical observations
- Infection control and proper use of PPE
- Basic charting and comfort with electronic or paper documentation
- Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
- Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
