Shift Type: Per diem, 4-hour shifts (variable start/end times) as scheduled — PACU (Pediatrics)
Candidate Pay Rate: $54 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate post-anesthesia care for pediatric patients in PACU
- Assess and monitor vital signs and recovery status, escalating concerns appropriately
- Administer treatments and medications per protocols and physician orders
- Collaborate closely with anesthesia, surgery, and nursing teams for safe handoffs
- Educate families on recovery expectations and discharge instructions
- Accurately document patient care and recovery progress in the medical record
- Participate in orientation and adhere to facility policies and safety standards
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Missouri (required)
- Current BLS certification (required); PALS certification preferred
- Experience or comfort working in PACU and with pediatric patients
- Strong assessment and clinical decision-making skills in post-anesthesia care
- Ability to work per diem shifts and attend orientation as scheduled
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of post-anesthesia recovery processes and pediatric considerations
- Skill with patient assessment, airway management, and pain control
- Proficient with electronic health record documentation
- Excellent communication with families and interdisciplinary teams
- Ability to prioritize and respond effectively in acute situations
- Adherence to infection control and safety protocols
