Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
Perform accurate vital signs, routine observations, and timely documentation
Assist nursing staff with resident mobility, transfers, and safe positioning
Support personalized care plans and communicate changes to the care team
Maintain infection control practices and a clean, safe environment
Build rapport with residents and families to promote dignity and comfort
Participate in team huddles and contribute to positive, solution-focused care

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Connecticut (required)
CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass background checks
Comfort with lifting and safe patient handling techniques
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is a plus

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completed CNA training program and valid CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

Hands-on resident care and ADL assistance
Accurate vital signs collection and basic clinical observations
Familiarity with infection control and safety protocols
Clear, concise documentation and reporting
Empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal skills
Ability to follow care plans and take direction from nursing staff
