Roles & Responsibilities
- Monitor cardiac telemetry and promptly identify rhythm changes to keep patients safe
- Perform skilled nursing assessments and implement care plans that make a measurable difference
- Administer medications and treatments accurately, following hospital policies and patient needs
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate excellent patient-centered care
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses clearly in the electronic health record
- Provide education and emotional support to patients and families during hospital stays
- Participate in orientation and continuous learning to maintain high standards of care
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kentucky or compact state privileges as applicable
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS and Telemetry certification preferred
- Previous telemetry nursing experience preferred and valued
- Ability to complete mandatory orientation and meet facility onboarding requirements
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN). BSN preferred.
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in cardiac rhythm recognition and telemetry monitoring
- Solid patient assessment and critical thinking skills
- Competent documentation in electronic medical records
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and remain calm under pressure
- Excellent interpersonal skills for patient and team communication
