Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care on a medical/surgical unit
Perform thorough assessments and monitor patient status, escalating changes promptly
Administer medications and treatments accurately and document interventions
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and execute care plans
Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and discharge plans
Maintain safe, efficient clinical practice and adhere to facility policies and standards

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
Clinical experience or training in medical/surgical nursing (Med/Surg)
Ability to work 12.5-hour shifts as indicated by the posting
Strong clinical judgment, effective communication, and teamwork skills
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain per employer policy

Education

Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ASN, diploma, or BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

Solid knowledge of medical/surgical nursing principles and patient assessment
Skilled in medication administration, IV management, and wound care basics
Comfortable with electronic health record documentation and charting
Able to prioritize tasks and manage time in a fast-paced inpatient setting
Excellent communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
