Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain a sterile field and surgical instrumentation to support safe procedures
• Assist surgeons and the operating team by passing instruments and anticipating needs during cases
• Inspect, organize, and account for surgical instruments and supplies before and after cases
• Ensure patient safety through strict adherence to aseptic technique and OR protocols
• Support efficient room turnover and help maintain a calm, organized operating environment
• Participate in orientation and training activities to integrate into the team quickly

Qualifications

• Current Surgical Technologist certification (CST) or completion of an accredited surgical technology program is preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain
• Comfort working in a fast-paced operating room environment and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
• Professionalism, attention to detail, and commitment to patient safety
• Eligible to work in the U.S.; required licensure and credentials as per facility policy

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of sterile technique and operating room procedures
• Familiarity with common surgical instruments, sterilization, and instrumentation counts
• Ability to anticipate surgeon needs and adapt to changing case flow
• Clear communication skills and teamwork mindset
• Good organizational skills and attention to infection control practices
