Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care for Med/Surg and pediatric patients
- Perform thorough assessments and monitor patient status, reporting changes promptly
- Administer medications and treatments safely and document care accurately
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and follow individualized care plans
- Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up needs
- Support unit efficiency by maintaining clear communication and timely documentation
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure (must be valid in Missouri or eligible to practice in MO)
- Experience or comfort working in Med/Surg and pediatric patient populations
- Willingness to attend required orientation prior to assignment start
- Strong clinical assessment and patient safety focus
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid Med/Surg nursing skills with pediatric care experience
- Clinical assessment, medication administration, and patient monitoring
- Clear, compassionate communication with patients, families, and team members
- Accurate documentation and basic familiarity with electronic charting workflows
- Ability to prioritize and adapt in a dynamic inpatient environment
