Roles & Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and create a calming, professional environment
- Perform clinical tasks such as taking vitals, preparing patients, and assisting providers
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure documentation is complete and timely
- Prepare exam rooms and ensure supplies and equipment are ready for patient care
- Support care coordination by communicating clearly with the healthcare team
- Assist with basic administrative duties like scheduling and patient check-in as needed
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification or diploma preferred
- Current BLS/CPR certification (or willing to obtain during orientation)
- Prior experience in an outpatient or clinic setting is a plus
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain accurate documentation
- Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass required background checks
Education
- High school diploma or GED required
- Medical Assistant certificate or diploma preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Comfortable taking vitals and performing basic clinical procedures
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems or willingness to learn
- Strong customer service skills and ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail
- Basic infection control and safety practices
- Ability to follow protocols and prioritize patient safety
