Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to Med/Surg patients
• Assess patient condition and implement appropriate nursing interventions
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
• Monitor and document patient progress, response to treatment, and any changes
• Administer medications and treatments safely according to protocols
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and discharge plans

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license in Hawaii or ability to obtain state licensure
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced certifications such as ACLS or PALS a plus
• Previous Med/Surg clinical experience preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work independently on per-diem assignments and integrate quickly with unit teams
• Up-to-date immunizations and compliance with facility onboarding requirements

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of Med/Surg nursing practices and standards
• Proficiency in medication administration and electronic charting
• Comfort with post-op care, wound care, and basic IV skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced setting
• Cultural sensitivity and patient-centered care approach
