Roles & Responsibilities

Provide professional nursing care for outpatient cardiology patients following established standards and practices
Assist providers and clinic staff in coordinating patient care to ensure smooth, timely workflows
Serve as the primary liaison between patients, staff, and providers to promote continuity of care
Perform patient assessments, EKG interpretation, and support cardiac procedures as directed
Administer cardiac medications and monitor patient responses, acting promptly on changes in condition
Document care accurately and participate in pre-employment and ongoing compliance screenings as required

Qualifications

MT RN licensure required
Basic Life Support (BLS) required
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required
Graduate of a nursing program
At least 2 years of cardiac nursing experience preferred
Basic coronary class required

Education

Graduate of a nursing program (RN)

Knowledge & Skills

Strong understanding of EKG interpretation and cardiac arrhythmias
Familiarity with cardiac medications and cardiac procedures
Solid grounding in basic nursing principles and procedures
Comfortable with medical terminology and clinic workflow
Key boarding skills and basic office skills for patient coordination
