Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality med/surg and pediatric nursing care with compassion and professionalism
• Perform patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and document changes in condition
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to policy
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team
• Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect patients and staff
• Participate in orientation and unit-specific training to maintain quality of care
• Complete timely and accurate charting in the facility electronic health record

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice (or compact state as applicable)
• Clinical experience or strong interest in Med/Surg and Pediatrics (per-diem friendly)
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; pediatric certifications a plus
• Comfortable with medication administration, patient assessments, and basic acuity monitoring
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — program completion required

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of med/surg nursing principles and pediatric care basics
• Skill in patient assessment, documentation, and medication administration
• Familiarity with infection prevention, safety protocols, and clinical best practices
• Ability to use electronic health record systems and complete accurate charting
• Strong teamwork, time management, and patient-centered communication skills
