Roles & Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for exams and assist providers in ambulatory clinic procedures
- Take vital signs, collect specimens, and document patient information accurately
- Administer basic clinical tasks such as injections or wound care under provider direction
- Maintain a clean, safe, and well-stocked exam room environment
- Communicate with patients in a compassionate and clear manner to ensure a positive clinic experience
- Collaborate with the care team to coordinate patient flow and follow-up tasks
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification or relevant clinical training preferred (CMA, RMA or equivalent)
- Current CPR certification
- Prior ambulatory or outpatient clinic experience is a plus
- Strong patient communication and customer service skills
- Ability to follow clinical protocols and maintain accurate documentation
- Reliable, punctual, and ready to participate in orientation
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Medical Assistant diploma or certificate preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Familiarity with taking vitals, phlebotomy basics, and specimen handling
- Comfortable using electronic medical records and basic office software
- Good multitasking skills in a fast-paced clinic setting
- Knowledge of infection control and patient safety practices
- Strong interpersonal skills and a patient-centered approach
- Organizational skills to support efficient clinic workflow
