Location: Bakersfield, California

Start Date: 05-30-2026

End Date: 08-29-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM with occasional 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM shifts, one weekend every third weekend with Monday and Friday off

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver exceptional physical therapy care to 12+ patients daily across acute inpatient units
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in Medical/Surgical, ICU, and ER settings
Develop personalized treatment plans for patients recovering from TKA, THA, spinal surgery, CVA, and general medical conditions
Guide patients through rehabilitation journeys that restore mobility and independence
Document progress and adjust interventions to maximize patient outcomes
Mentor and support rehabilitation aides while fostering a positive team dynamic

Qualifications

Active California PT license required
BLS certification
Acute Inpatient PT experience strongly preferred
Comfort working with diverse patient populations including ortho, neuro, and deconditioned patients

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and clinical reasoning skills
Ability to manage a fast-paced acute care caseload
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Adaptability across multiple hospital units
Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
