Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate cardiac telemetry care to patients recovering from MI, CP, and lung transplants
Monitor and interpret EKGs using Philips equipment while delivering safe, high-quality nursing care
Administer non-titrating drips and manage patients on CPAP and high-flow oxygen
Collaborate with a dedicated charge nurse and PCT support team to maintain excellent patient ratios
Float to other telemetry units as needed while delivering consistent, patient-centered care
Complete required SIMs Lab training and maintain sterile technique during Foley and central line procedures

Qualifications

Current RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum one year of Level 1 trauma experience preferred
Strong EKG interpretation skills
Cerner EMR experience
Ability to pass dysrhythmia exam with two attempts allowed
Must have reliable transportation for travel team assignments

Knowledge & Skills

Cardiac step-down and telemetry monitoring expertise
Comfortable with lung transplant, esophagectomy, and ER overflow patients
Proficient in Philips telemetry and basic vent management
Skilled in sterile technique and central line care
Flexible and adaptable when floating between units
