Location: Bakersfield, California

Start Date: 06-22-2026

End Date: 09-28-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM start with varying shift lengths, plus call coverage including weekends and holidays

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $98 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist surgeons as the first assistant during complex procedures across multiple specialties
Provide expert support during robotic, orthopedic, neurosurgical, gynecologic, and vascular cases
Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Float between campuses as needed to support the broader surgical services team
Maintain readiness for call coverage including weekends and holidays

Qualifications

Active RN license with RNFA certification required
BLS and ACLS certifications
Proven experience in ortho, robotics, neuro, and GYN surgical procedures
Strong scrubbing skills as an RN
Ability to respond to call within 30 minutes

Knowledge & Skills

Robotics experience is essential - DaVinci system proficiency
Orthopedic procedures including totals, scopes, and TSA cases
Neurosurgical procedures including spine, brain tumors, and shunts
GYN oncology and robotic hysterectomy experience
Vascular procedures including AV fistulas and endarterectomies
Cerner EMR documentation skills
