Location: Lakewood, Colorado

Start Date: 06-22-2026

End Date: 09-21-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Variable start times between 7:30 AM - 11:00 AM, primarily covering 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM, with on-call requirements 1 night every 6 weeks including weekends and holidays

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional Phase 1 and Phase 2 recovery care for surgical patients
Monitor and assess patients recovering from ortho, trauma, cardiac, urology, pulmonary, and GI procedures
Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless patient transitions
Respond to ICU patients recovering in the PACU setting
Read and interpret cardiac strips to maintain patient safety
Float to support other areas as needed while delivering outstanding care

Qualifications

Active RN license in Colorado or compact license
ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
Previous ED or ICU experience strongly preferred
Epic EMR experience a plus

Knowledge & Skills

PACU nursing expertise with Phase 1 and Phase 2 recovery skills
Strong assessment and critical thinking abilities
Comfort managing ortho, trauma, cardiac, urology, pulmonary, and GI cases
Ability to work variable start times and occasional on-call shifts
Team collaboration and effective communication
