Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate nursing care that promotes comfort and enhances residents' quality of life
Lead and mentor Resident Assistants with coaching, training, and education on proper nursing techniques
Deliver safe, professional care following facility policies, state regulations, and professional standards
Coordinate individualized plans of care to support each resident's unique needs and goals
Maintain strong assessment skills and ensure accurate, timely medication administration
Uphold the Choices Philosophy of Care by treating every resident with dignity and respect
Champion safety standards using universal precautions and proactive risk management

Qualifications

Active Alaska LPN licensure required
Current American Heart Association BLSP (CPR) certification required
1 year of Long Term Care nursing experience preferred
New graduates welcome with an 8-12 month preceptorship at Heritage Place

Education

Associate's degree in nursing

Knowledge & Skills

Strong clinical assessment and care coordination abilities
Leadership skills to guide and support nursing support staff
Commitment to safety, infection control, and professional standards
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to follow individualized resident care plans with attention to detail
