Location: Grand Island, Nebraska

End Date: 09-21-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM with 1 night per week on call and every 5th or 6th weekend on call

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $71 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert circulating and scrub support across all surgical service lines
Collaborate with surgeons and the care team to ensure safe, efficient procedures
Adapt quickly to varied daily case schedules in a fast-paced OR environment
Support pre/post-op and PACU areas when needed and trained
Respond to ER trauma cases and maintain readiness for emergencies
Mentor colleagues and share knowledge to strengthen the entire team

Qualifications

Active RN license with BLS and ACLS certifications
Strong experience in Neurosurgery and all major surgical specialties
Comfortable working in a generalist OR without specialized teams
Ability to pass a skills-based open-book exam with 90 percent or higher
Willingness to comply with strict artificial-nail policy for patient safety

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical record
DaVinci robotic system experience
Broad knowledge of Neurosurgery, ENT, Orthopedic, GYN, and General Surgery cases
Ability to float to Pre/Post-op, PACU, and ER trauma as needed
Strong teamwork and adaptability in a multi-specialty environment
