Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $84 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to laboring mothers and newborns in a fast-paced L&D unit
Circulate C-sections and support safe deliveries in our modern surgical suites
Monitor fetal heart rates and respond quickly to any changes in patient condition
Float between L&D, postpartum, and NICU to support the entire mother-baby journey
Collaborate with OB techs, charge nurses, and on-call specialists for seamless care
Educate families on postpartum recovery, newborn care, and breastfeeding support

Qualifications

Active California RN license or compact license
Current ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications
AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification
Minimum 2-3 years of recent L&D experience
Prior travel contract experience preferred
Ability to circulate C-sections and care for postpartum patients

Knowledge & Skills

Strong fetal monitoring interpretation and decision-making
Comfortable with Cerner EMR and FetalLink systems
Excellent communication with diverse, Spanish-speaking patient populations
Team-oriented approach with flexibility to float across units
Calm under pressure during high-risk deliveries and emergencies
