Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess communication and swallowing needs using evidence-based evaluation methods
• Develop individualized, meaningful treatment plans that improve patient outcomes
• Deliver skilled speech-language therapy in a timely, compassionate manner
• Collaborate closely with nurses, therapists, and families to coordinate care
• Document progress and treatment accurately and efficiently in the medical record
• Participate in orientation and training to maintain high-quality, consistent care
• Educate patients and caregivers to support carryover and functional gains

Qualifications

• Current Missouri license or eligibility to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist
• ASHA CCC-SLP preferred or demonstrated equivalent competency
• Comfortable working per-diem with flexible availability for short shifts
• Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities; patient- and family-centered approach
• BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

• Thorough knowledge of speech, language, and swallowing assessment techniques
• Skilled in developing measurable, functional treatment goals
• Experience with pediatric and/or adult populations (if applicable)
• Proficient documentation and charting skills
• Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and families
• Comfortable adapting therapy for short, focused per-diem sessions
