Bill Rate: $25K sign-on; $10K relocation; $25K annual geographic differential pay (additional to base)

Roles & Responsibilities
- Coordinate and deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients of all ages in emergency and acute care settings
- Make independent clinical decisions during your shift and respond calmly in emergent situations
- Assess patients, triage appropriately, administer medications, and document care accurately in the electronic medical record
- Delegate and supervise CNA/Tech staff while maintaining accountability for patient safety
- Transcribe and act on physician orders, complete required record-keeping, and notify providers of significant changes
- Maintain infection control procedures and ensure adequate supplies and medication stock levels
- Participate in development and implementation of nursing policies, care plans, and department procedures
- Contribute to staff training, performance improvement, and interdepartmental coordination
Qualifications
- Current full, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in Alaska required (agency staff must have an active Alaska license; direct hires must have applied for Alaska license before start)
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required or must be obtained within 6 months of hire and maintained as required
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) preferred and required for ED nurses
- Clinical Competency assessment required within 3 months of hire and every three years
- High Risk Competency required within 3 months of hire and annually
- Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs and function safely in physically and emotionally demanding situations
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience in acute care, emergency department, or long-term care preferred but not required
Education
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing: BSN, ADN, or Diploma in Nursing
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid knowledge of nursing/medical practices, hospital and long-term care regulations
- Strong patient assessment, triage, and emergency response skills
- Medication administration, documentation/charting, and EMR proficiency
- Infection control and safety procedure expertise
- Ability to supervise staff, delegate appropriately, and maintain team coordination
- Comfortable interacting with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
