Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic exams accurately and compassionately, putting patient comfort first.
• Operate X-ray and imaging equipment while ensuring optimal image quality and safety.
• Follow radiation safety protocols and infection control best practices at all times.
• Prepare patients for procedures, explaining steps clearly and addressing concerns with empathy.
• Document imaging procedures and update patient records in PACS/EMR systems promptly.
• Collaborate with the clinical team during orientation and training to maintain seamless patient care.
• Maintain equipment, restock supplies, and report any technical issues to support continuous operations.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification (or equivalent) in radiography preferred.
• State licensure to practice as a Radiologic Technologist in Missouri (or eligible).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willing to obtain.
• Comfortable working with pediatric and adult patients; strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and work as part of a team.
• Previous clinical imaging experience preferred but new grads with strong training are welcome.

Education

• Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or related field preferred.
• Completion of an accredited radiography program or equivalent clinical training.

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of radiographic positioning and imaging techniques.
• Familiarity with PACS and electronic medical record documentation.
• Strong patient care skills and ability to communicate clearly and kindly.
• Understanding of radiation safety principles and infection control measures.
• Basic troubleshooting of imaging equipment and ability to escalate technical issues.
