Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality critical care to adult ICU patients
• Continuously monitor and interpret patient status, lab results, and hemodynamic data
• Administer medications, manage infusions, and support ventilator care as needed
• Respond quickly and effectively to acute changes and emergency situations
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the medical record
• Participate in orientation and ongoing training to maintain best practices and unit standards

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing; ability to obtain LA licensure if not already held
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required or obtained shortly after hire
• Critical care certification such as CCRN is highly desirable
• Prior ICU or critical care nursing experience preferred
• Strong critical thinking, assessment, and communication skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in critical care assessment and trending patient data
• Experience with ventilator management and advanced hemodynamic monitoring
• Comfort with vasoactive medications, titration, and infusion pumps
• Skilled in patient and family communication with a calm, empathetic approach
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate clinical documentation
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
