Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered emergency nursing care in a fast-paced ED environment
• Assess, triage, and prioritize patients quickly and accurately to ensure timely treatment
• Administer medications, start IVs, and perform necessary clinical procedures safely and confidently
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the multi-disciplinary team to coordinate care
• Document patient care thoroughly and accurately in the electronic medical record
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge instructions with empathy and clarity
• Participate in quality improvement and safety initiatives to enhance patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (ability to obtain or hold NH licensure as required)
• Experience or strong interest in Emergency Department (ED/ER) nursing
• Current BLS certification; ACLS and PALS preferred or obtainable upon hire
• Excellent critical thinking skills and ability to perform under pressure
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; professional and compassionate bedside manner

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Triage and rapid patient assessment skills
• Clinical skills including IV therapy, medication administration, and basic emergency procedures
• Familiarity with EMR systems and accurate clinical documentation
• Ability to manage multiple high-acuity patients simultaneously
• Calm, decisive approach in urgent and evolving situations
