Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and triage patients quickly and accurately to prioritize care in an active ED
• Provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to patients of all ages
• Collaborate with physicians, techs and other team members to coordinate timely treatment
• Administer medications and treatments safely while monitoring patient responses
• Document patient conditions and interventions clearly and professionally
• Educate patients and families with compassion about diagnoses, treatments and follow-up care

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) credential — ready to practice as an ED nurse
• Prior Emergency Department (ED/ER) experience is highly valued
• BLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred or willing to obtain
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills in fast-paced settings
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Active or eligible for state licensure (facility located in Hawaii)

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — BSN preferred
• Completion of accredited nursing program and state licensure

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in emergency triage and rapid patient assessment
• Skilled in IV therapy, medication administration and wound care
• Comfortable managing trauma, acute medical and surgical emergencies
• Ability to operate ED equipment and use electronic medical records
• Calm under pressure with strong prioritization and multitasking abilities
• Culturally sensitive care for diverse patient populations
