Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents including bathing, dressing, and grooming
Assist with safe transfers and mobility, supporting independence while preventing falls
Take and record vital signs, reporting any changes promptly to the nursing team
Support feeding and nutritional needs, ensuring dignity and comfort at mealtimes
Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care interventions and observations
Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver person-centered care
Create a warm, respectful environment that promotes resident well-being and morale

Qualifications

Current CNA certification (state-certified; Pennsylvania certification preferred)
CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
Up-to-date immunizations and TB testing as required by facility policy
Successful background check and any required clearances
Excellent communication skills and a patient, compassionate attitude
Ability to perform physical aspects of the role, including lifting and assisting residents

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completion of an accredited CNA program and current state certification

Knowledge & Skills

Basic nursing care practices and infection control
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with residents
Good documentation and time-management abilities
Teamwork mindset and the ability to follow care plans
Observation skills to notice subtle changes in resident condition
